Fast, secure and reliable Wi-Fi is becoming the hospitality industry’s top amenity.
Are you in the game?

With so many of our devices today depending on a strong Wi-Fi signal, it can be incredibly frustrating when the signal is less than ideal. Not only can a weak WiFi signal disrupt your day but  it can also lead to a loss of productivity and revenue.

Surprisingly, there are many things inside and outside of your home that could be blocking your WiFi signal.

Let’s have a look at some of the reasons:

  • Loose wire/cables: A badly or improperly crimped cable, loose ends, or the wrong type of cable connecting the device to the network jack can create slow internet connection.
  • Account suspend due to non payment: Temporary suspension of account due to delayed payments can also lead to internet issues.
  •  Trees: Trees also can be one of the major reasons for a slow internet connection.Water found in the leaves of the tree is actually responsible for the decrease in your signal strength. If the receiver is surrounded by large trees, there is a wide chance that the signal might get weaker due to the moisture absorbed by the leaves.
  • Weather:Water droplets are capable of absorbing radio frequency and blocking the signals. WiFi signals have a shorter range and they are deployed indoors. Yes, if the WiFi is indoor, it could still get affected by the rain to some extent.
  • Buildings/Towers:Anything made out of concrete will block or reduce WiFi signal.. The same goes for any underground buildings or basements. Similarly, modern constructions that use lots of metal will also struggle to get good signal. If these buildings are well spaced out and are not in a tight cluster with each other, then the signal may still be strong enough to propagate through the building’s windows. If there are a number of these buildings in a small space, this will dramatically affect the quality of the signal.
